A master thesis defense discusses the application of selenium organic compounds as anticorrosion inhibitors

A Master thesis defence was held at the University of Basrah, College of Science, Department of Chemistry. The scientist (Alaa Abdulkhaleq qhalib) has defended his thesis, which consists of two main parts. The first part include preparation and identification of new selinium organic compounds that are derived from N-4-acetylphenyl-2-chloroacetamide. In the second part of the study, the scintist invistigated the effectivness of the prepared compounds as anticorrosion inhibitors.

The research has concluded that corrosion rates significantly decreases as the concentrations of the prepared compound increases, in the precence of hydrochloric acid.
