The College of Science organizes a seminar entitled "Our Arabic Language and the Mother's Role in Raising Children to Love and Take Pride in It."

 The Women's Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a seminar entitled "Our Arabic Language and the Mother's Role in Raising Children to Love and Take Pride in It."

The seminar aimed to familiarize attendees with the mother's role in instilling values ​​and morals in her children and her active role in guiding them to love and take pride in the Arabic language among other languages, as it is the language of the Holy Quran.

The seminar, presented by Dr. Ashwaq Ghazi Al-Yassiri, a faculty member at the College of Education for Women, included an introduction to the Arabic language and the role of women in elevating its status. She emphasized that women are the primary teachers and guardians of linguistic identity in all the roles entrusted to them.

The seminar recommended the necessity of raising children to preserve the use of authentic Arabic words and to avoid, as much as possible, words that have crept into the Arabic language.
