The College of Science Organizes a Workshop on EndNote and Writing Theses and Dissertations

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science, University of Basra, organized a workshop on using EndNote software for writing theses, dissertations, research papers, and scientific articles for graduate students and researchers.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of the program in organizing scientific references in research papers, abstracts, scientific articles, theses, and dissertations indexed in Scopus and Clarivate Analytics, as well as reputable publishers such as ScienceDirect (Netherlands) and Materials (Switzerland). The workshop was attended by graduate students, researchers, and academics.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Majid Abdul Hamid Ibrahim from the Department of Biology and Dr. Anfas Nema Akash from the Department of Ecology, included explanations on how to install the program on a computer, how to import scientific references from publishers, how to access the library within the program, and how to organize scientific references in manuscripts.

The workshop recommended using the program for organizing scientific references in research papers and articles, as it is a requirement for acceptance in reputable scientific journals.
