The University of Basrah discusses a master thesis On Weight Distribution of (k,3)-Codes over Galois Field of Order Seven

The College of Science, Department of Mathematics, discussed a master's thesis entitled "On Weight Distribution of (k,3)-Codes over Galois Field of Order Seven" by graduate student Karrar Abbas Attia. This thesis aims to classify (k,3) caps in the four-dimensional projection space PG(4,7) based on secant distributions and explore their applications in constructing new linear projection symbols over the GF(7) field using computational techniques. The thesis identified caps with good harmonic properties that produced five-dimensional linear symbols with large minimum distances. The corresponding weight enumerators were also calculated, contributing to the enrichment of the known record of projection symbols.
