A new two patents were registered for a lecturer from the College of Science

A new two patents were registered for Dr. salah Shakir at the Iraqi Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control . 

The first patent is titled “Nano magnetic polymeric sensor for heavy metals removal from water”.  It is  a collaborative work between Dr. Salah Shakir from University of Basrah, Dr. Samya Mezher from Thai-Qar University, and Sajed Hussain from the University of Karbala. In this invention, a new nanomagnetic polymer was prepared and evaluated to remove some heavy metals from water. 

The second  patent is titled “synthesis sage polymer (SP) and its application as antibacterial” .It is a collaborative work  between Dr. Salah Shakir and Dr. Shakir Abd Salim from University of Basrah, Abeer Mansor and Ahmed Shuaib from The Iraqi Ministry of Health, and Asmaa Mansor from Musal University. In this invention, a new technique was used to prepare an environmentally friendly polymer from sage herbs and evaluated as antibacterial and as bleeding off agent .
