The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Ecology at the College of Science, organized an environmental tree-planting campaign titled "Greening with Our Own Hands: Women and Their Green Imprints."
The campaign included planting trees in the college gardens, sowing seedlings, fertilizing the soil, removing damaged plants and debris, and rehabilitating green spaces. These efforts contribute to improving the environmental landscape and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the college’s grounds and gardens.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Women’s Affairs Unit to fostering the active participation of women within the university community in environmental and social endeavors. It aims to embed a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility, while highlighting the role of women as essential partners in driving positive change within the university environment.
The campaign underscored that caring for the environment extends beyond merely planting trees; it represents a culture, a civilized behavior, and a collective responsibility. Every seedling planted today serves as a "green imprint"—a symbol of hope for a more beautiful and sustainable future.
Through our own hands, we bring forth greenery; through our contributions, we create a more beautiful environment for generations to come.
