A seminar entitled (the detection properties of (SnS) thin films synthesized by chemical method) hold at the College of Science, Department of physics. The presenter Ali A. Jalood Alasadi demonstrates the most important objectives of study (The study aims to prepare tin sulfide (SnS) nanofilms using the chemical bath deposition (CBD) method on various substrates (glass and silicon) at different pH levels. It also involves preparing these films with varying concentrations of zinc doping and testing their performance in detecting infrared and visible radiation) The study included the preparation of nano-membranes on glass and silicon substrates with different pH values, as well as different impurity ratios of zinc, to determine the extent of the effect of introducing impurities on the composition, shape, and properties of the structural, surface, optical, and electrical membranes. The study concluded with the success of preparing and depositing thin films of pure tin sulphide doped with zinc, obtaining a rhombic structure at PH = 6,7,8, and a cubic shape at PH=9. As well as obtaining surface shapes resembling nano-flowers, as well as successfully testing the prepared membranes when detecting infrared and visible rays, obtaining high sensitivity of the detector and a response time with high efficiency suitable for using a photodetector for visible and infrared rays. The study also recommends using pure films in electro-optical device applications and in solar cells as a light-absorbing layer, and experimenting with other materials as impurities to obtain films of higher quality and efficiency compared to prepared films..
