The Department of pathological analyzes at the Faculty of science at the University of Basrah organized a practical workshop on DNA extraction
 
The workshop aimed to train participants on the process of DNA extraction.
 
The workshop, which was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Aphrodite Abdul Razzak Saleh, assistant teacher Marwa Jassim Abdul Kader and assistant teacher Rana Mohammed Nasser, included a simplified explanation of what DNA is and the importance of its extraction and scientific and medical applications in various fields of work and how to extract it from a blood sample.
 
The workshop recommended the possibility of conducting various types of medical examinations by genetic analysis as it is the most accurate method of diagnosis.
