The Department of Earth Science in the College of Science held a field trip for doctoral students, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sattar Jabbar Al-Khafaji, to the Al-Tayeb region / east of Maysan, with the aim of introducing the students to the geology, composition, and lithology of the region, which included some formations of the Tertiary and Quaternary eras. The field work included training the students to conduct some important field measurements related to their specializations.
