The Department of pathological analyzes at the Faculty of Science, University of Basra organized a ceremony honoring professor Dr. Awatef Hamid Isa in appreciation of her efforts in heading the Department of pathological analyzes, in the presence of the dean of the Faculty of science, assistant professor Dr. Jalal Jabbar Hassan and the professors of the Department .
Through his speech, the Dean praised the role of Dr. Awatef in establishing the department and striving and insisting in achieving this, so that the Faculty of science at the University of Basra includes this important department in its specialization, and also praised her keenness in managing it to appear in the best image . 
Assistant professor Dr. Aphrodite Abdel Razzak Saleh was also welcomed to assign her the duties of the head of the Department .
