Master thesis discusses indoor air quality in schools

A master's thesis in the College of Science, Department of Ecology, University of Basra, discussed the assessment of indoor air quality in some governmental and private primary schools in Maysan Governorate, southern Iraq.

The researcher Hassanein Shihab Ahmed's thesis showed the effect of temporal and spatial variation on indoor air quality.

The study aims to evaluate the thermal comfort coefficient, detect levels of indoor air pollutants in classrooms, and identify their main sources.

The study concluded that there are some air pollutants and high levels of carbon dioxide in some classrooms.

The study recommended the importance of taking measures to develop and improve the indoor air quality and planting many plants inside schools that are characterized by their high ability to purify the air.
