In a gesture that is the first of its kind, the retirement division of the Department of administrative and financial affairs at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the National Retirement Authority, has started distributing the identities of retirees from the University's employees after completing their transactions for a record period.

The president of Basra University, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, stated that we have begun to implement the recommendations of the prime minister and the confirmation of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, which includes the implementation of a package of measures to support the segment of retirees, and our administrative cadres have begun to complete the transactions of our employees referred to retirement and handed over today (14) pension ID to their owners a few days after referring them to retirement without bothering to review.
