a seminar on air quality assessment in some schools

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on evaluating indoor air quality in some governmental and private primary schools in Maysan Governorate - southern Iraq.

The study, in which graduate student Hassanein Shihab Ahmed lectured, aims to identify air pollutants in classrooms, identify their sources, and show their health effects.

The seminar dealt with some characteristics of school buildings and classrooms and their impact on indoor air quality.

The seminar touched on the most important measures and procedures that can contribute to improving indoor air quality in primary schools.

The study recommended the need to enhance classroom ventilation and plant plants inside schools to absorb pollutants and purify the air.
