a seminar on the biological treatment of oil pollutants and fungi

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar entitled The ability of some fungi to biodegrade polycyclic aromatic compounds

The seminar, which was lectured by the master's student Zainab Abdel-Karim Ahmed, aimed at the biological treatment of polycyclic aromatic compounds and two types of light and heavy crude oil.

The seminar examined the impact of some factors on the bio-cracking process of crude oil

The seminar dealt with the study of the percentage of bio-cracking of crude oil and the effectiveness of bio-cracking of these compounds.

The workshop recommended the use of biological treatment of oil pollutants in the environment, with attention to environmental safety conditions, not to throw oil pollutants without treatment because of their toxicity and danger to humans and the environment.
