A panel discussion at the University of Basrah on (method of diagnosing the properties of reservoir fluids using chromatographic analysis of the Zubair Formation)

The Department of Geology at the College of Science organized a panel discussion entitled (Method of diagnosing the properties of reservoir fluids using real-time mud gas chromatography for drilling of the Zubair Formation in the Rumaila oil field, southern Iraq). The seminar, which was lectured by researcher Hussein Alewi Javit Al-Agaili, aims to develop an understanding of the interpretation of the accepted Gas While Drilling method using real-time mud gas chromatography analysis of hydrocarbons and to develop a predictive model by comparing real-time mud gas data with the components of downhole fluid models. collected during well tests and then analyzed in laboratories (PVT analyses) and thus evaluating the Zubair reservoir based on the integration of standard open well probes:
Gamma Ray Probe, Density Probe, Neutron Probe, Acoustic Probe, and Resistivity Probe In addition to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Probes, Production Probes (PLT), Formation Tests and Comparison with Gas While Drilling (GWD) Method to Improve Evaluation of the Zubair Reservoir Drilled in Rumaila Fields North and South.
The study included analyzes of hydrocarbon gases, petrophysical properties, and gas chromatographic analyzes (PVT) of oil samples for 24 wells distributed along the northern and southern Rumaila fields, southern Iraq.
