A scientific study in the College of Science examining the anatomical characteristics of plants Sesuvium portulacastrum L. (Aizoaceae)

A scientific study prepared by Dr. Widad Mezban Taher in collaboration with Dr. Sahar Abdel Abbas Malik at the College of Science at the University of Basra investigated the effect of the accumulation of Ag and Pb metals on some biochemical variables and anatomical characteristics of plants Sesuvium portulacastrum L. (Aizoaceae)

The study, which was published in Caspian Journal of Environmental Sciences, classified within the Scopus Q1 containers, revealed the progress of EDS / SEM technology, a new method for analyzing the composition of heavy metals in plant tissues and organs.

The study recommended that S. portulacastrumis is suitable for plant extraction or treatment and has high tolerance to lead and stone accumulation.
