The Council of the Faculty of Science was held at the University of Basrah on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, under the chairmanship of the dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Imam Al-Riahi, and in the presence of the members of the council, to discuss the topics on the agenda.

The meeting began with the follow-up of the teaching process in the summer course for the academic year 2024-2025, and the first three students in the morning and evening studies were honored in recognition of their academic excellence.

The council reviewed the minutes of the scientific committees, and the postgraduate studies projects (master's and doctoral) for successful students were approved in the first round of the academic year 2024-2025.
