seminar entitled (The role of NETosis andNLRP3 inflammasome in diabetic foot ulcer patients)

The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (The role of NETosis andNLRP3 inflammasome in diabetic foot ulcer patients) by Ph.D student (Israa Kamil  Hussein)

The study aims (Evaluate the role of NETosis componentes (Histon 3 and MPO), NLRP3 molecule, IL-1β, IL-18, and MFG-E8 factors in the diabetic patients type 2 with foot ulcer and non-diabetic patients and investigate the difference in the levels of the target factors between infected diabetic foot ulcers and non-infected diabetic foot ulcers).

This study was included Grade 2 is more dominant than grade 3 among DFU patients’ community, MPO is a biomarker of chronicity of DFU and the levels of cit H3 could form a specific indicator of the progression of DFUand  IL-1β has a strong linkage with the pathogenesis of DFU.and its recommendations are :Study the role of TLRs and MIF in the DFU healing process , molecular study of IL-1 β polymorphism  and verification of the levels of anti-inflammatory mediators
