The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the southern Iraqi marshes and the nature of their fish.

The seminar, which was attended by a master's student Hisham Abdel Sattar Jigan, aims to know the biodiversity of fish in the marshes and the classification of fish in the marshes in the form of endemic, inlet, invasive, common, reluctant, seasonal and rare, according to the division of "Tyler1971".
