A PhD thesis titled Integrated Geological and Reservoir Modeling of Late Turonian – early Campanian Sequence in West Qurna 1& 2 Oilfields, Southern Iraq was defended at College of Science, Department of Geology, for the PhD Candidate Rafea Ahmed Abdullah
Objective of the thesis is create the static and dynamic model including the structural framework, identify reservoir quality & fluid contacts, volumetric calculation and test multiple scenarios to select the proper depletion plan
Study content: Subdivided Sa’adi and Khasib to the reservoir units, determine and distribution of Facies and petrophysics properties across whole fields (West Qurna 1 & 2) and calculate the Oil Initially in Place in addition to select the proper depletion plan for Sa’adi and Khasib reservoirs
