Geology Department at the College of Science at University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled Sequence stratigraphy interpretation and reservoir analysis using facies and well log data, delivered by Dr. Fahd Mansour Saqr. The workshop was started with the presence of the head of the Department Dr. Abbas Hameed Mohammad. For the first day, the workshop dealt with a general introduction on the basic principles of stratigraphic succession and their interpretations of the facies. Changes in this sea level, in addition to how to identify the significant surfaces and paths of the systems. The number of participants in the workshop was 25 participants from different sides, from the College of Engineering, the Petroleum Department, University of Oil and Gas, and students from postgraduate studies, masters and doctorates, the workshop will last for three days.
