The department of Chemistry, college of science have orginzed a seminar discusses the relationship between some biomarkers on the hypertensive patients.
In this study, It has been found that high blood pressure is directly related to the harmful fats NOn-HDL, as it narrows the arteries, and thus increasing blood pressure. Also, it has been found that blood pressure decreases significantly with high UHDL levels, so it is considered as a good fat. The effect of the parameters (Apelin, Spexin and Nesfatin-1) on blood pressure, along with the effect of high blood pressure on their level in the bloodstream, and the possibility of using them as parameters to detect blood pressure disorders were studied.
