The University of Basrah organizes a seminar (Microbiota and Asthma)

The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar (Cross-Talk Between Microbiota and Host Immunity in Allergic Asthma) by the graduate student Israa asaad aziz /PhD. The study aim is designed to identified the association between microbiota and immunologic allergic disease such as asthma and food allergy to understand the correlation between developing immunologic allergic disease and microbiota diversity for future developing strategies to control and manage these disease or early diagnosis protocols, and included explores the relationship between the human microbiota and the immune system by examining the role of the immune system in responding to pathogens. It defines the microbiota, its types, and its role in regulating immune homeostasis. The study focuses on hypersensitivity associated with asthma and allergies, clarifying the nature of the disease, its main triggers, and its symptoms. It also highlights the impact of the microbiota and its metabolites, such as short-chain fatty acids, on modulating the immune response and reducing the association with asthma.
