University President Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi presented the award to the Department of Ecology for its ranking as the top ecology departments in Iraq in the national ranking results.

This recognition took place during a central ceremony organized by the University of Basra to celebrate its third-place ranking in the Iraqi University Rankings. The ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and members of the University Council.

This achievement is a result of the continuous scientific and academic efforts exerted by the Dean of the College, the Head of the Department, and the teaching staff, as well as their commitment to raising the scientific and research standards, developing curricula, and enhancing practical training to meet the demands of the job market.
