The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar "The Spin Thermoelectric Properties through Serially Coupled Double Quantum Dots Embedded between Two Ferromagnetic Leads" for the graduate Ph.D. student (Mohammed A. Najdi)

The study aims to understand the process of the spin transport through two quantum dots embedded between two ferromagnetic leads in the presence of a thermal gradient as well as a bias in the spin applied to them. Therefore, the goal is to study the spin thermoelectric properties for coupled double quantum dots whose energy levels are controlled by applying gate voltage in order to activate the spin channels to electron transport with a specific spin through the device.

This means preparing accomplishing extended mathematical model for calculating the charge and spin transport characteristics, and then calculating the heat spin current, which is the most important step to understanding the spin thermoelectric properties of this system.
