Professor Dr. Shukr Mahmoud Shaker, a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Basra, was selected as one of the top 2% of research scientists in the world for 2025, according to the ranking issued by Stanford University, which was published by the International Publishing House Elsevier.

This prestigious international classification is based on rigorous scientific criteria that include 22 main fields and 176 subfields, where the percentage of excellence is calculated according to the number of published research and its sobriety, the strength of the impact factor of scientific journals, as well as the number of citations and the h-index.

The inclusion of Dr. Shukr Mahmoud in this list reflects his status as one of the most influential scientists in his field of research globally.
