The College of Science in the Department of Mathematics discussed a seminar entitled " Singularly Perturbed Parabolic Partial Differential Equations for postgraduate student Eqbal Abd Alkareem Khudhair. This seminar deals with the numerical treatment of singularly perturbed parabolic partial differential equations (SPPPDE). The considered equations contain a small perturbation parameter ε ∈ (0, 1] multiplied by the highest-order derivative term and shift parameters attached to the nonderivative terms. The solution of the SPPPDE exhibits an exponential boundary layer due to the presence of the perturbation parameter ε. Also, we derive the types of methods, the B-spline, and how to solve those equations using the cubic B-spline method.
