A Ph.D. dissertation defense was discussed in the College of Science at the University of Basrah entitled (Molecular identification of SCCmec types in methicillin resistanceStaphylococcus aureus isolated from diabetic foot and haemodialysis patients  in Basrah province ) by the graduate student Tahrir Hamel Gadbhne ... and the number of its chapters four…... the study aims. .. has been conducted to investigate the molecular characterization of clinical isolates of  methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus  (MRSA).... The study included . The current study included the collection of (300) swab samples that were collected from both haemodialysis patients and diabetic foot patients who admitted to Basrah general hospital. The Samples of dialysis patients (150 samples) were collected HD patients .and (150) samples were collected from diabetic foot patients.   The study recommended  Adoption of the use of molecular methods in the investigation and diagnosis the methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus  (MRSA) in Microbiology laboratory  of Iraqi Hospitals in general and Basrah  province in particular .
