The Faculty of Science at the University of Basrah has achieved a distinguished scientific achievement by ranking first among the university's faculties in the global Clarivate intake, with the Department of Chemistry coming in first place and the Department of Physics in second place at the level of college departments.

On this occasion, the dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Imam, confirmed this excellence:
"The result of the efforts of our researchers and their dedication to sober scientific publishing, which is an important step that strengthens the position of the college and the university in international academic forums, and this excellence comes as the culmination of the college's plan to support sober scientific research.
