The University of Basrah organizes a seminar entitled (Urinary tract infections during pregnancy)

The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled '' Urinary tract infections during pregnancy '' by the graduate student Habayeb Sattar Abdul Jabbar .

The study aims to understand the impact of anatomical, physiological, and hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy on the increased risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) in pregnant women. It also seeks to identify the main types of bacteria causing these infections and their effects on the health of both the mother and the fetus . The study included an analysis of the factors that make pregnant women more susceptible to UTIs, including the effects of progesterone and estrogen hormones, as well as changes in kidney function. It also addressed the accompanying symptoms, as well as the appropriate prevention and treatment methods during pregnancy.
