The college of Science, Department of geoscience at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the study of the compressibility of fully and partially saturated clay soils, an experimental study and numerical modeling of the initial joining with the change of the permeability coefficient in selected sites of the city of Hilla .
The aim of the seminar was to study the physical, engineering, chemical and mineral properties of clay soils in Hilla and to study the different behavior of saturated soils in whole and in part . The seminar in which the student samehr Amer Reza attended included the study of the compressibility of clay soils by the first systems through the coefficient of compression (Cc), the coefficient of bulge (Cs) and the values of (PC), all variables are constant and only the moisture content changes.
