The College of Science at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Women's Affairs Unit, the Student Activities Unit, and the Continuing Education Unit, organized a seminar entitled Information Security: A Shield of Protection for Female University Students in the Digital World.

The seminar aimed to explain the importance of data security for female university students and the urgent need to protect personal information in the digital age with the increasing security threats targeting young groups.

The seminar, which was lectured by Dr. Haider Nouri Hussein, a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the College of Science, included practical instructions on how to secure data and the risks of not paying attention to digital security, including exposure to blackmail or identity theft.

The seminar recommended the necessity of learning to use technology safely and increasing digital awareness in enhancing the protection of personal privacy.
