The Department of biology Sciences - College of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific field trip for students of the Aquatic Plants course B356 morning studies under the supervision of a number of course professors. The trip included a visit to the wetlands in the Shatt al-Arab and its branches in the areas of Karma Ali and Al-Hartha and a visit to the Marshes Company for Fish Production to inform students about aquatic plants and their distribution and spread in the Iraqi environment. The visit aimed to strengthen students' skills in field work and train them on how to take, examine and preserve samples and to familiarize students with the reasons that caused the increase or decrease of plant species in the environment, in addition to enriching the practical aspect by applying it on the ground.
