The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a symposium on space weather events and the impact of the solar activity cycle on climate change
The symposium aimed to identify space weather events and the impact of the solar activity cycle on climate change
The symposium, in which Dr. Diaa Abdul Sada Hussein lectured, included an explanation of the physical and chemical properties of the sun, the composition of the sun's layers, how solar energy is generated, the emergence of solar events and their impact on planet Earth, and the extent of the impact of the solar activity cycle on climate change on Earth.
The symposium recommended monitoring strong solar events as they may cause damage to satellites and spacecraft and may affect power and communications towers on Earth.
