Basra University organizes a seminar on the geochemistry of some rock units of Jabal Sanam in southern Iraq

The Faculty of science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the mineralogical and geochemical study of dolomite, gypsum, igneous and metamorphic rocks . The seminar aimed to determine its mineral properties, which included primary and secondary minerals that were affected by transformation and change processes, as well as studying the behavior and distribution of the main, rare and terrestrial rare elements in each rock unit separately. The discussion panel delivered by graduate student (Ghufran basil ghiyaz) included the importance and diagnosis of minerals and the processes that affected them and the use of the distribution and behavior of the main, rare and rare earth elements in understanding the origin and emergence of Mount Sanam .
