A lecturer at the College of Science at the University of Basra, Mr. Moataz Hikmat Othman, in the Department of Ecology, published an article entitled “Woman (the Mother) is the Key to the Development of Environmental Education.”

The article, which included a detailed explanation of environmental education, discussed how to increase people's awareness of environmental issues and enhance awareness of the interconnected relationship between humans and the environment and the role of the mother in developing environmental awareness.

The article was published in the Iraqi “sky” news agency, which outlined advice for enhancing the role of women and a call to study female leadership models and pay attention to the legislative system that fulfills the role of women.
