University of Basrah organizes a workshop on image processing and editing using the Image J application for research purposes

The Department of pathological analytics at the Faculty of science at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on image processing and editing using the Image J application for research purposes.

The workshop aimed at guiding researchers to process scientific images and convert image data into digital data that may be required by some reputable journals as a condition for publishing research, as well as highlighting the important parts of the image to describe the data more accurately.

The workshop, which was attended by the teaching professor Dr. Hussein Abdul Saud and professor Dr. Elham Jabbar Jalil, included

Marking images, dropping a drawing scale on them and making accurate measurements in the image, as well as using the method of counting cells, nuclei or other parts of the photographed tissue and converting color densities into digital measurements.

The workshop recommended following the scientific methods of image processing without falsifying the results, as well as showing and highlighting the mock results in a manner appropriate to what is followed by scientific journals sober as conditions for publication
