The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a scientific trip for students of the Eco101 course for the first stage of morning study.

  The visit was to Shatt Al-Karma Beach, adjacent to the University of Basra, for the purpose of conducting practical application of environmental measurements using devices and tools for measuring various physical, chemical and biological factors, including temperature, lighting intensity, wind speed and direction, water color, measuring the density of living organisms, and other measurements.

The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Nayef Mohsen Aziz, Dr. Maitham Abdullah Ghali, and Mrs. Rehab Nasser Younis, teachers in the Ecology Department, to enrich the practical aspect by applying science on the ground, which leads to enhancing students’ confidence in the science they are studying.
