Two teachers from the Department of Earth Science at the College of Science at the University of Basrah participated in the Seventh Oil and Gas Conference held by the Research and Development Center in the Iraqi Ministry of Oil and Energy. Where Dr. Amna Malallah Handal and Dr. Alaa Mohsen Attia participated in scientific research . The head of the Earth Science Department, Dr. Ali Khaled Al-Ali, was also chosen to chair the scientific research presentation and discussion session on the first day, and Dr. Alaa Mohsen Attia was chosen to chair the research discussion session on the second day.
