A master's thesis at the faculty of science. at the University of Basrah (Prevalence and Molecular Diagnosis of Certain Ocular Bacterial and Viral Infections in Basrah City), and the researcher's thesis (Amina Abbas Mahdi). Thesis included to (Prevalence and Molecular Diagnosis of Certain Ocular Bacterial and Viral Infections in Basrah City)

The study aims to diagnose specific types of viruses and bacteria that infect the eye at the traditional and molecular levels. The study included collecting samples from eye patients and isolating types of bacteria and viruses by taking swabs and diagnosing them using traditional methods of isolating bacteria, discovering the most important types that infect the eye, and diagnosing viruses using... Real Time PCR technology identified types of viruses that infect the eyes. The letter recommended that there is a need for more bacterial and viral isolation of eye infections, obtaining new types, and using modern methods to diagnose them.
