Thesis / PhD thesis at Basraha University to be discussed Impact of Some Physiological Parameters Associated with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Ph. D thesis at the faculty of at the University of Basrah (The title of the thesis), and showed the researcher's thesis (Hajras Shaker Saleh). Thesis aims to establish relationship between hormones disturbance (FSH, LH, AMH, inhibin B, testosterone, AFP, antioxidant glutathione and IL1-alph) in women with PCOS, and concluded The levels of LH, AMH, and testosterone were significantly higher in the PCOS patient in comparison with the control group. Contrarily, PCOS women had significantly lower levels of FSH. PCOS patients had significantly higher serum Inhibin B levels than control groups, and recommended as PCOS is considered to be a polygenic syndrome, it is recommended to study of genetic variants of alpha-fetoprotein and irisin to complete the picture of PCOS genetic variations in Iraq, and study of liver enzymes and antioxidant enzyme in the PCOS women.The use of serum biochemical AFP levels and their cross correlation is recommended as part of a diagnostic strategy for PCOS.
