/ PhD thesis at Basraha University to be discussed............. (The ability of endophytes to produce immunosuppressive compounds and nanoparticles)

A master's thesis / Ph. D thesis at the faculty of science at the University of Basraha .... (Isolation and identification of some chemical compounds from endophytic fungi and their immunosuppressive effects), and showed the researcher's thesis (Maha Hani Tawfeeq). Thesis aims to isolation and identification endophytic fungi and study chemical properties of their secondary metabolites and study its inhibitory effects against microorganisms and it had anti-microbial activity, also obtained pure xanthones compounds and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and study their red blood cell toxicity effects. They were not toxic to red blood cells. The compounds and AgNPs show antioxidant activity, and study their inhibitory activity against immune cells and interleukin 6 (IL6) production. The compounds and AgNPs showed high effectiveness by inhibiting the growth of immune cells and the production of IL6, which they are used in treatment of autoimmune diseases as well as in preventing the rejection of organs transplant and concluded the ability of endophytes to produce secondary metabolites and nanoparticles with efficacy in various fields and recommended increasing interest in secondary metabolites of local endophytes, studying other chemical groups that have an inhibitory effect on the immune system, and increasing interest in silver nanoparticles produced from endophytes, due to their high ability to inhibit immune cells and IL6 production.
