The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a workshop on how to become an environmental educator.
The workshop aimed at explaining the basics of sorting and applying environmental education to the sorting program, educating students and guiding graduates about job opportunities as environmental observers in the educational and practical environment.
The workshop, in which Ms. Batool Qassem Ali, Chairperson of the Lebanese Environmental Monitoring Board, lectured, included talking about environmental planning and guiding students towards the modern environmental system.
The workshop recommended using the sorting mechanism and focusing on waste that is most harmful to the environment, which is all kinds of plastic and inorganic waste.
