A master's thesis in the Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra discussed the evaluation of water quality in the central part of the Shatt al-Arab during the highest and lowest tides using the Canadian guide.

The researcher Russell Zaid Khalaf's message included the importance of evaluating the quality of the waters of the Shatt al-Arab with the tidal phenomena.

The thesis aims to identify the changes that occur as a result of drainage and the reduction of river water levels and their impact on the quality of Shatt al-Arab water.
