The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra held a scientific exhibition for the course Waste Treatment and Recycling 401.

The exhibition educated students on how to deal with solid waste and use it to obtain a sustainable green environment by treating solid waste, recycling it and using it for long periods, reducing waste, including plastic and mineral waste, organic waste from household food residues, and producing compost or what is known as organic fertilizer to grow some plants.

The department published a number of scientific awareness posters related to the reuse and recycling of waste as a scientific product for the rest of the students.
