The College of Science organizes a seminar on the biodiversity of fish communities

The Department of Ecology at the College of Science organized a seminar Ecological indices and the nature of fish assemblage in the west Hammar marsh, Sothern Iraq.

The seminar, which was lectured by the graduate-master's student, Hisham Abdel-Sattar Jigan, aimed at knowing the biodiversity of fish in the Western Hammar Marsh and evaluating the ecosystem in the marsh through the application of environmental evidence and the study of environmental factors that affect the composition of the fish community.

The seminar recommended the protection of fish wealth by activating laws and the need to work to increase water releases and extend the marshes with fingerlings of fish and work to spread environmental awareness among the residents of the marshes.
