The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (The important of  Endophytic fungi and their applications) by the graduate student Maha Hani Tawfeeq The study aim to find out what is Endophytic Fungi and included  a review of a history of these fungi and their classification methods, in addition to a review of the most important metabolites that they produce and their most important uses and pharmaceutical and medical applications, as these fungi are considered an important source for the production of many compounds that have proven their effectiveness towards many pathological microorganisms of bacteria, fungi and viruses, as research has proven The recent ability of these fungi to produce antioxidant metabolites and have an inhibitory effect on the immune system that can be used to treat autoimmune diseases and organ transplants.
