) by researcher (Aseel Ali Neema) include identification that E.coli possessed ESBLs gene and Carbapenemase gene. The study concluded that all E.coli isolated in this study possess a high ability for producing extended-spectrum β-lactamases enzymes (ESBLs) against the third generation of cephalosporins and monobactam antibiotics. E.coli isolated in this study also possess a high ability for producing carbapenemase enzymes against the four generations of imipenem and meropenem antibiotics and there is a spread of more than one type of extended-spectrum β-lactamases enzymes (ESBLs) and carbapenemase between the E.coli  isolates from UTI cancer patients in Basra hospitals.
