Prof. Dr. Maher Mandeel and researcher Rana Tahseen participated in the Fifth International Scientific Conference in Geokurdestan held at the University of Sulaymaniyah for the period 20-22 September 2022, where they presented a scientific research entitled (Microfacies Analysis and Depositional Environment of Yamama Formation (Berriasian _Valanginian), Southern Iraq The research included the use of many fossils to understand the sedimentary environment of the Yamama formation, West Qurna field, and the science of describing the rocks of the facies was relied upon, which was divided into four main facies and seven of the secondary facies.
