A master's thesis at the College of Science at Basra University discussed(Effect of expression of SARS-CoV-2  NSP-7 and /or spike (s) plasmids on innate and adaptive immune response) by  researcher(Ruaa Salim Hameed) included an evaluation of the ability of SARS-CoV2 non-structural proteins to stimulate the immune response. The NSP-7 subunit (the cofactor that directs RNA synthesis) could be a good candidate. Spike (S) and Non Structural Protein-7 (NSP7) expression plasmids were either expressed together or separately for SW1417 cells. We conclude that NSP-7 may be a good candidate for new vaccine development by delivering its coding region into cells. Our study suggested that NSP-7 is a candidate vaccine in vitro investigations against CoV-2.
